David, I've noticed other barbed wire in your photography, birds as well. They are sometimes polar opposites: the former representing divisions and oppression while the latter is oft associated with freedom. It's a bit sad to see a free-flying creature positioned between man's painful ordering of the world. Are man's needs and those of nature compatible?

The birds in your project show the extreme contrast between freedom and borders. Your bird photos are not bird-watching photos, they are more allegoric.. Regards, Stamoulis.

Very nice composition. There're barbed wires along the border between India and Bangladesh. Would have been better if we were birds (excepting the politicians, of course! they'd be different animals!). compliments -koushik
