Interesting capture. I like the beautiful sky contrasted with the dry, dull earth. Somehow, together, they make a winning combination of effects.

The comp works well for me Dave. I would however correct your horizon, appears to be off about 1 to 2 degrees. Love that sky!

normally it's said that centered horizons make for a boring photo, but your shot is truly an exception from this rule. the details in the foreground and the interesting clouds in the background balance perfectly. I also love the warm tones in this one, makes one wish to stand there and watch the sun. greetings,
