rbanfield 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Ah, almost harvest time in beautiful California. As a high schooler I used to harvest grapes every Fall. A whole quarter for every flat. This beautiful shot took me back a few thousand years. Nice comp and really like those clouds and the way the rows go up the hillside.6/6 anon...RAY Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted September 5, 2008 This is very cool too. Not that you could do anything about it; but I'd have loved the FG run to have been away from the viewer, and not across the frame, but then the grapes wouldn't have been evident. Neat lighting conditions with the stormy sky. Hey, pour me a glass of Cabernet! ;>) Cheers! Chris Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Thanks Guys for taking a look. Yeah, this was actually shot through a boundary fence, so my working of the composition was limited to say the least. You have to put the third leg of the tripod through a mesh opening at just the right entry point and angle to have the lens fall through another opening. I guess I was 1/3 trespassing when I took this. My intention for sure was to reveal the grapes in the shot. Link to comment

tonmestrom 4 Posted September 6, 2008 Nice photo with a lot going for it. "so my working of the composition was limited to say the least. You have to put the third leg of the tripod through a mesh opening" Which makes me wonder why you used a tripod at all? In these conditions you could have easily shot hand-held. Link to comment
