Gorgeous, truly gorgeous. The red first, and that evil black poisonous plant that seem to crawl towards its gentle, clear glass-locked alter-ego. The fight of the good against the bad. Brrrrr....

I think it's one of your better minimalist works. I find the composition and the idea compelling. Great energy in the reflection and in the way the picture echoes the actual plant, the intertwining of the plant with it's shadows. The bottom right corner feel maybe a little off to me. It's kind of a heavy spot and does draw my eye toward it. It's got a really good sense of composition, like modern art it is bold and there's tension. The color is, of course, strong. I like it. Compelling or bold would be my adjectives of choice.

I've kept coming back to this one the last days because it is indeed compelling. Still, I've downloaded it and kept playing around with it. Although I agree that reflection adds a lot I cloned it out in the black matting for instance, I've tried various crops also because of that right lower side but all in all I kept coming back to yours. Maybe it's just because I've got a very similar one to this that I also like but keep playing around with as well because I'm not sure about it. I guess that's a lot of words to say this really appeals to me.

I like the free form of nature vs, the precise form of man made mirror side by side. The added interesting point is the stem inside,( from another source) like reality enters and "departing" to/from the mirror .The red/black palette, and especially reflection is very special illusion of reality. Nice light and very nice timing, as well as observation, and title .

Thanks for tuning in. I thought it was a fun image. I think that heavy black on the lower left would better be cropped out as Fred suggests.

It is an artistic composition, a stunning red with the black, My favorite colors in abstract. I like the reflection on the hanging picture too. Very good image David.

The living green leaves forcing themselves on the red and black landscape is quite interesting and very well seen...Good work..Warm wishes..Marjorie

As you well know, sometimes the most mundane of surroundings yield an image of some worth. I sat there just staring at the wall, and then it dawned on me that it could be a photo.
