rarmstrong 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Thank you for the comment, Monte. I followed this heron as it flew out of the good light and circled around toward the sun. I was surprised that the image came out OK and it may have something to do with the active D lighting feature of the D300. It was fun to take this shot. Regards, Dick Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted September 5, 2008 So, you are shooting with your D-lighting on? That would explain why u got as much detail as you did on the forewing. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Monte, yes, I have it set to "on". Is there any reason that I should shoot with it off? Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted September 5, 2008 I thought I read somewhere that it slows your focusing down, but more than likely its just my faulty memory. Link to comment
