Eye of the Storm - Spectacle Lake

cool rainbow.

The Bigger, The Better. This was on Spectacle lake just at sunset, a

storm began to roll in. We went down to the beach to watch the

lightning when the storm decided to make peace. Truely, nothing could

do justice to actually being there with the strong warm wind suddenly

picking up over the lake and the pink clouds revealing the full rainbow. It

was breath-taking! Please, view it larger - then imagine it fully

surrounding you. Stitched together from 4 photos because it was just

too big to fit in my lens

Thank you all for viewing this photo, commenting and rating it. Shane: I used a tripod, set my camera to all manuel settings, so that nothing would change in the series of shots. I took 4 photos across the sky, as the rainbow was far too large and too close to catch in my lens. In photoshop I stitched them together and then in the curves menu I played around with the blues and reds until it matched what my memory remembers as the most spectacular sky I've ever seen. Someone pointed out that there actually looks like an eye in the center of the rainbow. I wish you could see it larger but I already uploaded the largest allowable. Thanks again
