So much Character - and perfectly captured. I love the tight crop, although curiosity makes me want to see more - I suppose that is a sign of a good photo

I had Gary the Guide on a float trip for kings on the Kasilov two summers ago. Unfortunately I didn't get a good portrait like this one. Classic Alaskan "color".

That's a pretty cool coincidence. He sure knows his stuff, doesn't he? Too bad I didn't shoot it vertically like the one I'm posting now. His hat is his trademark and there's not much of it showing. I was sitting in the seat closest to him and had on my 100-400mm and shot it horizontally at 100mm before I took this next one vertically, but I still like the first one better.
