Quarreling Couple

The male just sits there and takes the ass chewing. I shot this in

the first true vast wilderness I've ever been - Katmai.

Great shot - I was in Alaska sept 2006 but never got to this place. I have a folder of mostly landscape images of Alaska if you care to take a quick visit.

This is so nice!!!! Especialy if this is pure wilderness. This is the dream of every wildlife photographer. Next year I hope to go to Iceland for a photographer workshop with Nikon. This will be 9 days of pure photography and I hope to bring back a lot of nice shots too..........

What a cracker, how far away were you when you shot these?

Thanks everyone. I would say about 40 yards, John, but not really sure. The closest shot I got was about 10 feet, in a different spot an hour or two after this was taken.

Excellent...

Truly one of the most impressive bear shots I've seen. It's tack sharp and close enough to really impart the power of these amazing animals. We're planning a trip to Alaska sometime in the next couple of years. I'll have to pick your brain as to how you were able to get so close to these bears. It's my dream to see them up close.

this photo makes me want to quit my job, sell everything but my camera and lenses, and move somewhere with wildlife. but untill then, this puts me in a front row seat to an amazing moment. thanks for sharing!
