Thanks Keith, Christine and Ana for your kind words!

This lovely moment between these two has escaped my meagre skill for over a year. With a little more knowledge and experience I have tried to follow the example of others here on PN to burn out the distracting background. I was still unhappy with the colour version (the burn was too obvious) but I was quite surprised and happy with the high contrast B&W conversion. Thanks again for your time and interest.

Regards, Mike

A beautiful shot Mike, in fact very beautiful. The tight crop accentuates the intimacy that these animals have between them. Best regards.

...the B&W conversion works so well, you have bags of mid-tone contrast to enphasize the rough skin texture. I too am coming back to old shots with new knowledge from PN - it really does pay to shoot RAW. Very nice framing too. Cheers, RickDB

Thank you vey much Christoph, Dimitris and Rick for your comments, they are greatly appreciated! Rick, I made a decision when I first came to PN to select and use a common frame to help unify the images in my gallery – of course it is a compromise and works well for some and less so for others. I’m glad you like it - thanks!

A very beautiful image. I really like your choice to use black and white. Great lighting and framing as well. 7/7 Anon Congratulations. Andrei

This is definitely poster material. Absolutlly Excellent. Forgive the 6/6, it will have to do as the system won't let me rate it a 7/7 which is what it deserves. Jim

Such a warm & tender wildlife picture that touched one's heartstrings. Look at how the young lean against its parent & the parent's loving support. Excellent pic, Mke.
