Guest Guest Posted September 1, 2008 You leave a mysterious trail of humanity here. There are your engaging eyes and direct look, and then the demur and sheltered faces of the women behind you, as if in your thoughts or dreams, somehow involved but also somewhat distant and out of reach. I get the feeling of memory here. Beautiful lighting in this technique that is almost one of illustration. Very effective. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Fred, as you imagine the illustration style was my purpose, the original photographs were too "clean", aseptic, academic in some way. Trying to give my interpretation about the atmosphere and the meaning I've used the lightning first, and the post process after, making it more "dirty", hard, corrosive and dark. The message is just as you've interpreted; some lonely dark nights the ghosts of the past come to sit together with the protagonist of this image, mixing the anguish with certain kind of calm, but in the darkness at all. You know, sometimes -or always- my thoughts and ideas about photography runs more faster than my limited ability as a photographer. Final results are unequal, heterogeneous. Only few times I like it. Guest Guest Posted September 1, 2008 I always see a willingness to be personal in your work. You seem very genuine to me. I think it's quite fine only to like a few things you do. They are still all important to your growth and vision. But we each only get a few real special ones a year, if that. Think of it this way, if your ability was running faster than your thoughts and ideas, you'd be at a loss. This way, you will always be challenging yourself, and stimulating your creative juices. Just keep going. You are among the few that I find are getting real and giving me something of themselves. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted September 1, 2008 " this is a very special file of photos, it is memories of yours, but has as well a general feeling, as all of us human being have the load of memories that are hard to forget." This is what I wrote you on another photo, but I think it apply here as well. Your working on that theme of what memories are in your life , projects and creates association to us as well , with pains and torture, delight and joy sorrow and regret. Your post processing conveys the feelings with the very significant woman figure in the BG. Yourself , your gaze, the light and texture are enhancing the impression, very personal and expressive.. sideris 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Fred, your last comment is simply shocking. I never saw myself as you describe my motion. Anyway, your words are highly flattering. Thank you a lot my friend. Alon, I consider you an artist, then your comment is very valuable for me. My dear Pnina, you are a great photographer, no doubts, but for sure you are a delicious writer too, As Fred and Alon, flattering and warm comment. For you three, when I "take off" and watch myself generally I don't like what I see, but your support can change my mood each time. Link to comment
