Shooting a Comet

Background exposure: 30 secs at f/4. Lens was then covered and set to f/16 then a flash fired to expose telescope. Fuji Reala 400 film.

This was my setup for shooting Comet Hale-Bopp in 1997. One camera is

piggybacked to the telescope for a "wide angle" (80-200mm lens) shot

and another camera is attached to the rear of the telescope to capture

a more detailed close-up. I've included the exposure details with the

image. (This is a re-posting of an earlier upload--I darkened the sky

a bit). Thanks for viewing!
