Funtak 0 Posted August 30, 2008 My mistake: ISO 200 is obviously to low for this light conditions. Considering my interest in street, candid photos, maybe I should use one of those "point&shot" camera..What do You think? Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted August 30, 2008 I don't think you have an issue with the ISO. Maybe just a tad underexposed. You could adjust that in your editing program. I think that may even be subjective. Other than that Great Picture.-Jim Link to comment
Funtak 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Thank's. Maybe the white background+low light conditions+low ISO+to big desire to make interesting shot while the girls are at the same place resulted with what we can see... Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Good shot Vladimir...ther's nothing here that cannot be altered in p/p...Regards! Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted August 30, 2008 except to say that it is fine. You have great exposure on these beautiful women who just light up the scene and the whites are nicely exposed, without a hint of over exposure. Well composed and framed. Lovely work. Regards. Link to comment
Funtak 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Thank you, guys. This is how the camera had recorded this photo in original, only downsized.. Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted August 30, 2008 I like the open candour of this shot Vladimir, and one has to take it as it comes (and quickly too) in street shots, and I think you have done well. Did you try or consider cropping out a bit of the framing wall to minimise the sense of too much whitness overall and to also bring the girls closer to the viewer. I might also try a bit of increasing a bit of contrast and also try to bring out a bit of the midtones too. I think this shot is worth trying to 'improve', if that is the right word. A good capture here. Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted August 30, 2008 Your post above crossed mine by minutes. You have already done a magnificent rescue already. Kudos to you again! Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Thanks for showing the original. You did a wonderful job saving this great picture. So now you have to ask yoursef, if you had shot at a higher ISO would you have ended up with to much noise to end up with this great result. Just a thought. Wonderful picture and thanks for the conversation. Cheers-Jim Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted August 31, 2008 I believe you are wrong. The camera recorded everything but preseted it to you as average middle gray. I am little surprised at the range of detail. If you; overexposed as I read the "iso" comment (and I do not understand what "iso" has to do with anything -ziltch except noise), then I think the whites would wash out all detail. Maybe I am wrong. beaz 0 Posted February 3, 2011 In every image, there are many paths to the end result. Yes, the original image exposure was not ideal, but as a viewer, I don't really care. You had the knowledge and skill to get the image to this point. Good job.I must say I find this very pleasing. You were observant to see this moment and that was the first hurdle. I like the natural framing of the inset wall. I think the crop is about right to keep a sense of context. I like the youthful expressions, to include the amused smile, and overall mood. I like the soft color of your final image. I even like the graphitti adding to the carefree and messy nature of youth. The only suggestion, and it is purely subjective, would be to bring out more of the midtones in the wall for more apparent texture (a selective levels adjustment). The resulting reduction in value of the wall will also help the girls stand out more.Best Regards, Jerry Link to comment
