I'm in California, but I find most of the stuff I really enjoy in the interior of the country. This one happens to be in Nevada. If I had the money, I'd be on the road all the time.

it's quite an original pole....like all originals he lives away from the crowd.....I also like how the clouds seems to enjoy by dancing in the sky....

Yes, I am. Actually, I think I may be the one who introduced the pole shooting fashion in the first place. As a reference, check out my early 2006 folders. I have a whole variety of poles there. They are small but very pleasant to look at and in harmonious proportions. Unfortunately, I had shamefully deleted them at the end of that same year as they had gotten nothing but 3s and indifference. I finally decided to repost some of those glorious 2006 poles last year hoping they could make a triumphant comeback. By Jove, It's high time I let the whole world know !

That pole may be original and it certainly stands out, but its got plenty of company in this landscape.

Thanks for flattering me, but if I were to do a book, it would not likely have any commercial success. Still, I think of it.

David, have you thought of self-publishing on Blurb? Kent has done this. the site makes it easy to set up your own book. you only have to buy one copy yourself and depending on the size of your book it is relatively inexpensive. then you can mark it up as much or little as you want, and others can order the book from Blurb. i had one made for the family of a friend who died unexpectedly, and i think it only cost about $25 including shipping.

I almost ordered a halo once, but I thought it would get in the way at other times. You used it well here, though.

If the price was not too exorbitant you should have purchased the halo. It is nice when people bow down to you, and you can always light your stogie with it.

To be honest, I've thought about checking blurb out, but I've been so damn busy lately. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

This is a personification of poles, a real "converstaion" with a sense of humor.A real Meyer . I like the BG that is present but does not disturb the chating. The orange pole is well colorful dressed for the occasion...;-))

I really like how that pole soars and arcs between and above the two straight poles into the clouds. I also like the juxtaposition of the light fixture on the pole and the gas pump. Its a fascinating scene few would notice, and captured well. My nitpick of the day would be the halo effects around the poles. They could probably easily be burned away.

Thanks. Of course you are right about the halo. I should attempt to clean it up. I'm not convinced it will be so easy, however.
