dougbrill 0 Posted August 27, 2008 I am not a bird photographer but I could not resist taking a few shots of these birds. There were around a hundred birds in the trees and most had chicks. This is shot in St. Lucia in Castries. Anyone have any idea what kind of bird this is? Any feedback would be great. Thanks! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted August 27, 2008 Wonderful capture. Well done. ( I have no idea about what birds they are). Link to comment
rui_pinto2 0 Posted August 27, 2008 Honest shot: you kept your own limitations - the branches - visible. Cropping was avoided. The white of the feathers is always difficult: could some extra contrast be worth? Good job Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted August 27, 2008 Great shot on this yellow-top-knot-white-bird... :-). Seriously, a beautiful capture... Mike Link to comment
leroy laverman 0 Posted August 28, 2008 These are cattle egrets. The out of focus elements frame the subjects quite nicely. Link to comment
knobby6 0 Posted August 28, 2008 These are really good looking yellow-top-knot white birds, as is the photo. You should take some more birdy photos, since you did so well on this one. Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted August 28, 2008 Thank you all for your kind comments. And for letting me know what type of bird it is. I will definitely take more shots of birds if the opportunity arises but I really do not have the lens range for it. Thanks again for the feedback Link to comment
life-in-perspective 0 Posted September 3, 2008 Very nice image. I like the soft light and protective mother standing tall behind the little ones. Regards. Link to comment

lindabique 0 Posted April 17, 2009 Lovely shot, the DOF and bokeh are wonderful. I've never seen one of these birds before, so I can't help there but it's such a nice shot...they are all looking the same way, even the youngsters are paying attention...talk about a bad hair day....LOL. Nice work. Linda Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted April 20, 2009 Thanks Linda, The whole flock was having a bad hair day that day, or maybe everyday depending n the type of bird. Thanks for the comment! Link to comment
