Birds and Chicks

I am not a bird photographer but I could not resist taking a few shots of

these birds. There were around a hundred birds in the trees and most

had chicks.

 

This is shot in St. Lucia in Castries. Anyone have any idea what kind of

bird this is?

Honest shot: you kept your own limitations - the branches - visible. Cropping was avoided. The white of the feathers is always difficult: could some extra contrast be worth?

These are cattle egrets. The out of focus elements frame the subjects quite nicely.

These are really good looking yellow-top-knot white birds, as is the photo. You should take some more birdy photos, since you did so well on this one.

Thank you all for your kind comments. And for letting me know what type of bird it is. I will definitely take more shots of birds if the opportunity arises but I really do not have the lens range for it. Thanks again for the feedback

Lovely shot, the DOF and bokeh are wonderful. I've never seen one of these birds before, so I can't help there but it's such a nice shot...they are all looking the same way, even the youngsters are paying attention...talk about a bad hair day....LOL. Nice work. Linda
