wet rocks

OK! OK! Maybe it's me but I like wet rocks. I never have been happy with any the images I have taken of them. I would have been happy with this.

David, I didn't realize how hard this would be until I tried it. I took about 10 shots to get the depth of field, focus and exposure right. We have these rocks all over where I live and I never get tired of them.

Thanks, Jean-Marc! Not strange at all. We have miles and miles of beaches on lake Superior with these rocks and many others. We spend hours in the Summer walking the beaches looking for cool rocks. Agates are the prize finding.

I love rocks, the colors and textures, and you've done a great job on these. I don't have a shot I love yet, but now you've inspired me to keep trying. Well done.

you're right, it's damned difficult. What you succeeded in is convey the 3-dimensional quality which most lack and what makes it difficult in the first place. Light and textural feel are therefore spot-on.
