thadley 15 Posted August 26, 2008 Thanks very much for the strong endorsement of this image - one that I like very much. It was taken early in the morning with the sun coming up and a mist that was moving quite quickly. I worked the scene and took quite a number of images but this one appeals to me the most. I have to get up early tomorrow so I will turn in early tonight. Best regards, 4:29 Link to comment

rbanfield 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Mr. Hadley, This is one beautiful photograph. Your lighting is excellent as is your subject matter. I really like the lights and darks in your composition. I've taken the liberty of adding it to my favorites folio. A big thanks for sharing this with us...RAY Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Such a great shot. So wonderfully beautiful with the light streaming through the fog. I'm glad you had your camera. You captured it perfectly. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 26, 2008 This indeed is very special, for all of the reasons that many have pointed out. You really caught a nice confluence of events here. Just for the sake of discussion, did you consider cropping up from the bottom and removing about 15%? While I am normally a fan of keeping trees grounded, so to speak; I wonder if it doesn't improve the overall composition? Just my two cents. Very nicely seen and captured, Tony. Cheers! thadley 15 Posted August 26, 2008 My goodness - it is gratifying to see all of the positive comments and generous ratings. It is very much appreciated. For all who made comments: Rita, Ahmet, Mary, Michael S, Giambattista, Ian, Michael M, Jeff, Jeffrey and Glauco, thanks for taking the time to comment and rate. Raymond thanks for picking this image as one of your favorites. Chris thanks for the suggestion and it is one that I will consider. There are some elements at the bottom left and middle that I wanted to include in the image - almost giving it a quasi framing. I also have a landscape version but I prefer this one. Those that rated without comment, your input is also appreciated. Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Hi Tony..this is indeed a real "magical light shot". The lovely yellow and reds of these Autumn trees with the sunbeams radiating through! Fantastic and well caught!..Regards Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted August 27, 2008 Thanks very much for your input - while not easily discernible at this size, there is some ground frost visible at the bottom of the image. Best regards, Link to comment

rarmstrong 0 Posted August 28, 2008 This is just wonderful and reminds me of the hundreds of times that I have seen this type of scene with no camera to capture it. You got it just right. There is a great feel to these crisp northern mornings and it is here. I'd like to have this one in my office to help me relax on those stressful days. Regards, Dick Link to comment
