Thanks very much for the strong endorsement of this image - one that I like very much. It was taken early in the morning with the sun coming up and a mist that was moving quite quickly. I worked the scene and took quite a number of images but this one appeals to me the most. I have to get up early tomorrow so I will turn in early tonight. Best regards,

Such a great shot. So wonderfully beautiful with the light streaming through the fog. I'm glad you had your camera. You captured it perfectly.

This indeed is very special, for all of the reasons that many have pointed out. You really caught a nice confluence of events here. Just for the sake of discussion, did you consider cropping up from the bottom and removing about 15%? While I am normally a fan of keeping trees grounded, so to speak; I wonder if it doesn't improve the overall composition? Just my two cents. Very nicely seen and captured, Tony. Cheers! Chris

There are some elements at the bottom left and middle that I wanted to include in the image - almost giving it a quasi framing. I also have a landscape version but I prefer this one. This is just wonderful and reminds me of the hundreds of times that I have seen this type of scene with no camera to capture it. You got it just right. There is a great feel to these crisp northern mornings and it is here. I'd like to have this one in my office to help me relax on those stressful days.
