Steinhuder Meer II

Hallo Fritz,

Danke für die Blumen. HDR mit Photomatix. 3 Bilder aus der Hand, da ich keine Lust hatte, mit einem Stativ in einem der kleinen "Auswanderer" zur Festung Wilhelmstein zu fahren.

Hi Neil,

no it isn't a macro. It is made with Photomatrix from 3 different exposed pictures (low, normal, high). I made the pictures at a sea called "Steinhuder Meer" in the north of Germany near Hannover from a small island called "Wilhelmstein".

Hi Franz, Thanks very much for your recent comments on several of my photos. Basically, I like this image a lot. Great composition and a fine rendering af the heavy clouds. The saturated colors of the boats stand really out against the grey color of the water. My only reservation is perhaps that the HDR is a bit overdone for my taste. The water being so much lighter than the sky gives the picture an unnatural touch. But maybe that was your intension.
