dougityb 0 Posted August 24, 2008 Does this picture make you want to read more books? Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted August 24, 2008 Answer: Yes, it makes me want to read more books, with large font, held at a greater distance, wearing my progressive bifocals. :-) Seriously. I like the pose and her smile. Personal preference would wish for a more even spread of background vegetation. Does the deck seem to be tilting away from you? Maybe an illusion due to the top railing. Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted August 24, 2008 I see what you mean about the red shirt.....interesting.....Jenna has so many different looks, she is a very versatile model...now to the image itself, I like it, nice pose and expression...not sure the book is really needed, but not a big deal. I agree with Michael about the background...I would prefer that it be bluured out more...overall a nice capture. Can't wait to see more. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 25, 2008 Great shot, Doug. Now, about those shots that you're not posting. . . . --Lannie Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 25, 2008 yes, the deck doesn't do much for the photo except add a bit of color contrast, of sorts. I like how this shows Jenna's versatility, too, but I don't think she likes it too much, herself. I thought I hit the background with the blur tool, but maybe that was one of the other shots. I agree: more blurring would be good. Lannie, the other shots aren't so good.... I'm glad to be posting this kind of work. I'm so weary of shooting nothing but trees, asphalt and cattle. Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 7, 2008 I know the feeling, Doug. Last night was a Saturday night, and the drunks and whores were out on the east side of town, along with me on my $800 1982 Honda CB900 (I always travel first-class and to the best tourist destinations), and it occurred to me that it would be a good time to do a bit of street photography. My problem is this: How would I convince the cops that I was just doing social documentaries? Hire a model? Well, yes, that would be safer. Also, the women would perhaps stop running away when they saw my camera. But then I would have to make appointments and actually show up someplace on time, and I am not sure that I am ready for major life changes right now. --Lannie Link to comment
