soniam 6 Posted August 20, 2008 Unaltered except for hue and saturation. Unna lake on the Bowron Lake Chain. Incredible journey. 115 killometers of paddeling and adventure. Thank you for your thoughts and time Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted August 21, 2008 Thank you Maurizio and Pierre. He was there for quite some time. I was hoping to get the shot without ripples in the water... Maybe next time... Is my horizon a little tilted??? I hate when that happens! I'll have to fix it... Thanks again Link to comment
www.photo.netphotosseamo 0 Posted October 7, 2008 could have been just a little more centered and level. but good. can you tell i don't know the proper terms for all these? Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted November 28, 2008 I understand centered and level. What do you think of a crop like this? Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted December 3, 2008 Excelllent once again. They both work, but to me the first one probably has more depth .. and don't worry about tilted horizons which with all respect is a nonsense argument. It has nothing to do with a succesful photo, as evidenced by the countless amount of magnifcent photos that we see done by the masters. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted December 3, 2008 Really? Well that is good to hear. I do try to remember to keep my horizon straight and I can correct it in post processing but I sometimes forget. I agree that a horizon does not have to be and often even should not be straight but in this case, I would prefer it to be... Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts. rascal64 9 Posted December 4, 2008 You have some really compelling images Sonia. I just love this for a few reasons. His strength and reflection at the shore balanced by the calmness of the boater in the lake. The gentle curves of tree and mountain and the perfect (whether you or nature) burning of highlights in the water to frame your character in the foreground. Link to comment
