Ah, the slightly creepy Circle Of Life. Charlotte should be able to live for

month off of this haul. Didn't seem right to sweep this little tableau off of

the basement floor until she at least fiinished her first course. This

image is more interesting viewed larger. Thanks for visiting!

Looks like it made the hairs stand up on the cricket's legs ;-) You never cease to amaze me, Matt. You have a great eye and perfect technique to capture the moment. From the sounds of it, you used a broom to end the circle of life--which reminds me of a story (hope you don't mind me sharing): We went to the Cabbage Patch Hospital in South Carolina when my son was about 4 years old. We just happened upon a Cabbage Patch baby with the same name and birthdate, so we bought him. On the way back to the hotel, he and his little girlfriend said they wanted to "babbitize" their babies in one of the many streams. Being Baptist, we thought, "Oh, how cute," and stopped the car. They took their place down by the stream, dipped the heads of their babies in the water, lifted them to the sky, and began to sing "The circle of life ..." (from the Lion King). (Of course, this isn't the way Baptists do it, but it was funny nonetheless--and, yes, I do have photos--somewhere.) As always, thanks for sharing.
