mikeoday 0 Posted August 20, 2008 Hi Leo A very good B&W image; an interesting, detailed photo with a good foreground subject and pleasing, meandering path for the viewer past the rocks, towards the distant hills. I really like it. Well done. Regards, Mike Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted August 20, 2008 once again I admire the "drama" that you've put into this because I find that very attractive and working well in this fine photo. It's a landscape I really enjoy looking at. Still, I wonder that if you should bring some light back in that grass in the foreground if it wouldn't look even better than it does now. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 20, 2008 This is really quite gorgeous! I agree with Ton that the FG drama really makes this pop. I think the FG grasses look just right given the early time of day and the extraordinaryily hazy conditions that we found. Excellent cropping decision results in a great composition. Well done, Amigo! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 21, 2008 Ton I don't quite understand the statement "bring some light back inti the foreground grasses." To me they are very bright! Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted August 21, 2008 as I already said it's a very good photo. It wasn't a statement nor a critique, it was merely a question. Yes, it looks bright (enough) but I just wondered that if you'd make it somewhat lighter if that would add more drama or that it would get your photo out of balance. I'm not sure about that, hence the question. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted August 25, 2008 One of my favorite areas, and you captured the atmosphere very well. Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 26, 2008 I kind of think here that any brighter grass might not maintain that early dawn feel. But thanks again for all your comments as they are all informative and from a knowledgeable eye. Link to comment
