Guest Guest Posted August 17, 2008 This is most attractive,Liz.I love the effect of the grass lines behind the red flowers. Red and green together always shows beautifully. Looks like a painting! Nicely done. Link to comment
vladimirovna 1 Posted August 17, 2008 This is something between real life and painting and this is confusing. That's why I like the original better. In this photo I like that you tried to underline the fact that color makes this a wonderful photo but. Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Liz, I like this a lot. The colours work really well together. The only thing that I would like to see different is a bit more breathing space on the RHS. Link to comment
jbidarra 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Great contrast colors and really beautiful image. Regards. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted August 18, 2008 I am so grateful for all the comments. Two points: I did try and make this one seem different and more like a painting in order to make the reds shine stronger; and, Jeff, I agree with you, it bugs me to pieces. Thank you all for stopping by. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted August 18, 2008 Beautiful work, Liz, esp the lovely grassy bg compliments the flowers very well. An artistic presentation. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted August 20, 2008 A passionate red indeed - the grass in the background is an appealing element. Best regards, Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Not quite sure how you got this beautiful shot, but, I love it. The painterly texture of the greenery, with the mottled lighting effects work very well. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Dave, thank you for your nice comment. I played with Photoshop a little in order to emphasize the reds and blur the greens. I'm not particularly proud of the manipulation, because I think photos ought be to be more naturally presented, but this was an attempt to play around and "see what happens". Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted August 26, 2008 well the result is real nice. those are my sentiments about photoshop as well. Link to comment
