raymondborg 0 Posted November 10, 2008 An interesting portrait but in my opinion, the light can be improved. I would prefer a catch light in the eyes and eliminate the shadow from under the chin down to her chest. Maybe it could be much better if a fill in falsh had been used. Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Of course you are right, Raymond, but this is not that kind of shot. This is a "candid street portrait", where the idea is to get a photo as good as possible with existing light, without the person knowing she is being photographed. Alternatively I could of course approach her and ask for permission, ask her to pose, and use fill in flash or other gear (reflectors etc.). For a busy waitress in a crowdy restaurant that would not be very convenient, I guess. But I should be very pleased having her as my model on my own and follow up your suggestions.... Link to comment
