these kinds of shots you can upload every day as far as I'm concerned. Not just because I like it, which I do (hugely btw), but because of it's overall quality. Your composition is spot-on (although I have to say that looking at that hand, applying that frame doesn't especially help) Your tonality is very good and adds to the great atmosphere. What I like most though is the overall tension, not just from that jumping boy but also because of the tension that the white line provides. It's a classic shot in many ways and all the better because of it.

I see four main elements working in concert. The expressive open hand, a bold foot leaping forward, a shy foot hanging back in shadow, and the white line giving everyone a place to go. Taking this picture was a leap of faith.

Very interesting. My first impression was of an image that came from a surveillance camera. You know, like at a bank ATM. I hope that does not offend you. But in reality there is a voyeuristic quality to the image. Of course the subject could have been looking right into the camera for all we know. But I think that does not much matter. I rather like the hand in the position it is in. It is almost held in the position that one assumes when wading in water just above waist line. And that gives it a sense of urgency for me.There are a lot of possibilities here that must be explored.

Very interesting composition, the angle done with the cropped body and the diagonal white line, creats a tension the moment you look at it. I like his pace ,like passing from one "world' to the next. very nice B/W , great timing, and well observed.

ouch...so dynamic and expressive with a minimalist compo....great tones.....I like the change of direction you impose the viewer with the lines (road and leg)...it has a cinema mood, you know the kind of scene that starts with a crop and enlarge to the whole street....

A poetic image, with composition and tone values that impresses, and help create a very special mood

An urchin from 19th century Paris, magically trasported to a modern day parking space. I like everything about this magical picture, even the "flaw" at the top.

Jack, thank you. The magic of B&W I guess and a little overdone burning here and there. Just a grabshot of my younger kid coming back from the beach barefoot and hopping over the place. The "flaw" was added with the mouse to dirty the picture a little.
