This was once a photo of a bed of small flowers. However, this image started with a highly Gaussian-blurred version in pastel tones.

From there to here gets VERY complicated to explain... Sooooo, I'll tell you that I used several filters and effects, sometimes multiple applications. I also made use of layers to combine the effects at different stages of my semi-random exploration of the possibilities of the image.

My approach to images such as this is to try many different manipulations and see what 'develops' so to speak. Sometimes it's back-up, alter, then charge ahead again, sometimes it is more full-speed-ahead until something interesting appears.

Not much help I know, but that is how I do it..........
