jerrymat 5 Posted August 14, 2008 I don't know how to explain this but I think it needs less space below the people's feet and more above their heads. I like the tonality, the pose, the sense of "hanging" of the group. I think you could improve the "matting-framing" by tinting the white to match the print tones. Perhaps even the black frame should match the color tone of the darkest shadows. Link to comment

whosecameraisforpix 0 Posted August 14, 2008 This is a beautiful image. Great job CL! I agree with the comment that a little bit more space around the group may highlight even more the clustering of the group. Best wishes Link to comment

aarkp 2 Posted September 1, 2009 love this intense photograph... every thing is right about it... composition, tones... snipping the space in front would be a bad idea, after all it is a Private Party... we can perhaps eavesdrop but we cannot intrude... i like the compactness, the sense of enclosure with the frame at left and the shuttered sill-ed windows on top... the light seems to weave an interesting path from the charming girl standing insouciantly at extreme left to the boy looking over the girl with locked knees to the girl with crossed knees to the girl looking at us whilst brushing her hair away from her face to the last girl with extended legs looking at the girl with locked knees... wonderful work Link to comment
