This, and my other UK photos, were taken when on holiday a little while ago. The south of England is full of great photographic opportunities so I’m very jealous Shaun that you live there and have easy access to such beautiful scenery. Oh well, I guess at least we have the weather here in Sydney :).

 

 

Yes it is intentionally soft. I’ve been experimenting with the ‘Orton technique’. Here the effect was relatively mild with a Gaussian Blur (20 pixel radius) ‘soft layer’. The other photo that I was pleased with results of the mild Orton technique is my shot of the Lancaster (http://gallery.photo.net/photo/7659064-lg.jpg).
