Chan, yes you recognized it. It's the mass damper in the Taipei 101 building.

For those who have not had the chance to visit this building, it's a 101 storey building of 508 meter high. This mass damper is on the 88 & 89th floor and weighs 660 tons. It stabilizes the tower against movements caused by high winds. Best regards, Jean-Marc
