John Peri 1,007 Posted March 27, 2009 Wonderful Carlo, and thank you so much for the dedication .. I regret not having seen it earlier. There is something mystical about this island. One searches for the roots of the psyche that led to this architecture and sometimes wonder unfortunately if modern times have not erased all traces. Each generation reminisces about the past and how much more meaningful it was, but here we have structural evidence of the harmony and elegance which led to such design, long gone since then. This probably was the genius, intentional or not, in Andy Warhol's work. He defined us for long to come as the hamburger society, which is more or les what we have become. Link to comment
