LenMarriott 9 Posted August 13, 2008 Ok, title is cheesy. Got a better one? One sunflower from a 25 acre field of them. Talk about choices! Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 13, 2008 " The rising sun".....(another name... my Japanes presentation as well....)This is my favorite from that subject, because I saw so many like the two others, and this one has its singularity of your eye. I like the composition, the bluish BG... and the surrouding in general, the" rising sun" is well placed on the frame.! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted August 13, 2008 Pnina, Yes, the other two shots in this trilogy are rather cliche' though I like them still. This one is indeed the more original composition of the three. I'll probably end up printing all three versions, ultra close up, close up, and this one, almost an environmental portrait of the plant. Your suggested title is less cheesy than mine but I think I'll wait a while before I close the competition. Perhaps someone else will come up with a more appropriate title. Let's wait & see. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Great composition Len, like the way the sunflower just grabs & holds your eye & you can feel yourself relaxing & enjoying your image, very soothing. Woud be a great Healing Art image for a hospital. Hope you did not have to tramp through twenty four & a half acres to to discover the framing for your image. Cheers-Ross Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted August 16, 2008 Ross, Thanks for your thoughts. I think 'soothing' is how I felt when taking these images. In fact, I didn't venture more than 6 ft. into the field & found more than enough material for a couple of dozen shots. Best, LM. Link to comment
