Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted August 10, 2008 I was there to shoot the falls, but took time out to get some rocks at sunset. Link to comment

chrisalmerini 0 Posted August 10, 2008 Jim, I was to Sol Duck falls earlier this year (May) and was totally take back by the area. When I was there snow was still on the ground near the falls! The light reflecting off the rocks is very neat! This is an outstanding photo- I am sure many folks who would pass by the same spot would miss it! Great capture. Chris Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 11, 2008 An elegant intimate landscape! Very nicely composed; with a great color palette and tones. I really like the different areas of light reflection throughout. Good shutter speed choice. Very well done, Jim. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
bob_t 0 Posted August 11, 2008 Very nice! It's so great that people can find so many ways to make an image of the same spot. See this one: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6181507 Way to go! Bob. Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted August 12, 2008 Thanks for the comments everyone. I love your shot Bob, it is great how we can all come away with something different from the same place (or even rock!). Season, weather, time of day, and flow of the river will always form an ever changing matrix. This is why if I think I've already "missed the light" I don't sweat it and just shoot what catches my eye - could end up being better than what I had imagined. Link to comment
