GerrySiegel 868 Posted August 9, 2008 Maria, I looked at both and am so attracted to this lovely frecklefaced youngster with her golden hair and blue eyes that I would cut out all the background, and frame it really close and just a hint of the red T shirt. with no tilt or little tilt.... I am interested in portraits and this one is successful to my taste. I just can't come to grips with the chair and the background colors which sort of compete (two shades of yellow) with her hair color, don't you think? Try tight and straight up for another version and see what the gang here feels is best of the three is my humble suggestion. Boy, am I a sucker for blonde hair :-) I am sure others will firmly say leave each be "as is " but no harm in experimenting is my approach, and apparently yours too. I wish you well. gerry Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted August 9, 2008 A very sweet portrait - this is the crop to my eye, as what are you adding with the crop above but distraction? It is a portrait of the girl, not of what is behind her. I like the angle you have used as well, as it imparts a more dynamic feel to the image. The red of her shirt repeated in her lips draws the image together - nicely done- Mark Link to comment
toloduran 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Bonito retrato,Marla. Nice portrait, Marla.El frame is great and I like more than the anterior.Coincido that the fund may not be the most appropriate by the similarity of tonos.De anyway, sometimes we do not have n'Hug more so the opciones.Aun light and expression captured is excellent. sallycd 0 Posted September 8, 2008 This composition reminded me of that camera I had decades ago.No other camera can do that for me,just point it in a certain angleand got it like yours. I just love her eyes. Been trying to capture like your but have not beensuccessful yet. I like as it is because at times it tells us the world is not perfect and somepeople have choices. Thanks for sharing and thank you too for your comments on mine. Sally Link to comment
