I do like this image very much.

To answer your question I must ask myself if the dark areas in the photo have lost detail, what is magnitude of that dark area in comparison to the other elements and whether it is important in the image? One also has to remember that all Monitors are not properly calibrated (perhaps my own) . On my monitor, I find it slightly too dark. For my personal tastes, I might cut off almost half of the image - mostly the left side of the image - and that would reduce the magnitude of dark area but all of this is very subjective and artistic.
