Sage7 1 Posted August 8, 2008 Clayton, This is a powerful image of Lake Minnewanka. It captures and brings together major elements such as the sky (with clouds), these mountains and the water. The B&W conjures a rustic mood. This image caught my attention immediately. Thanks for sharing. All the Best! ~ Joseph. Link to comment

pascalagneray 0 Posted August 8, 2008 This reminds me of Ansel Adams. Simple yet beautiful and powerful, just like nature is. Wonderful picture. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 8, 2008 I agree with Pascal's allusion to Ansel's work; this has some pretty special lighting and luminosity. An excellent black and white conversion. Lots of drama and interest. Gorgeous photograph, Clayton. Cheers! Chris Just noticed something, Clayton; is there a dust spot on the sensor, or water droplet on the lens in the dark cloud at upper left-center? Link to comment

phxmark123 0 Posted August 10, 2008 I love the photo and it does remind me of Adams so I turned and compared it to the photo of his I have on the wall behind me. What I see here is the contrast isn't the same. the island in the foreground is to dark, the sunlight on the mountains is not bright enough, no foreground subject, there isn't enough reflection in the water and the sky above the clouds on the left is to dark. Other than that it is perfect.. :-) Link to comment
iren 1 Posted August 10, 2008 Beautiful. I know this lake well, but have not been able to ever catch it quite like this. Congrats! Blessings from the west coast, Iren Link to comment
