I was hired to do this wedding because the bride saw my kind of

photography and really wanted me to do her wedding. My husband and I

do events normally together and so I get the chance to do some of my

traditional low light stuff (capturing people as they are in low light

with no flash). She loved this picture. I would love to know what

you think about it. I realize that it might not be your thing and I

realize that it is not in focus but the motion and the idea of trying

to "get" motion on the way to the beach is totally on purpose. Just

thought I would explain that ahead of time. Thank you so much for

looking and your comments. ~ micki

This was one of those I was using my D300 with my Sigma lens 30mm I showed you when you were here.

I looked at the setting and it says I was at f/1.4 and I know my ISO was at 200 because I had just been upstairs in the bathroom light (lots of light) and I didn't switch. Down the stairs the hallway was fairly dark.

Great! The angle, the movement, the boy waiting. There's a story and it's well filmed. It's like a scene from a movie. Caught right in the middle of things.

I actually thought of you when I took it. I thought only YOU would like it. :)

So, I thought out of everyone You and a few of the critique group would at least appreciate it. ~ or understand it.

Well Pete and Gord. Ha :)

Thanks so much!

Micki, I like the triangled composition where the bride is like one of its "heads" Interesting is the diagonal BG and the blurred FG , both are hinting of movement in a different form. Nice and unusual bride scene.

Like Pnina, I see this as unique. So many shots are hackneyed, forced smiles, and dramatic displays. This conveys the anxious energy of taking steps to a different life.

It was one of those things that I was so thrilled I got for personal persons. I don't think it would have worked had not the little boy been there personally.
