We are heading towards "Shangri-La". We can't wait to reach to snowy mountain looming ahead, beckoning to us.

Shangri-La has become a symbol for Oriental exoticism. The myth of Shangri-La was born in 1921 with the novel by James Hilton "Lost Horizon". where he he describes a paradisiacal place in the foothills of the Himalayas isolated from the outside world where people lived a harmonious and happy life. Several places in India, Pakistan, Tibet and China claim to have inspired James Hilton.

Nice view Cherlyn. Put in a good word for me when you get there. Can always use the good Karma!

Cherlyn, a superbly composed landscape with the road leading the viewer to the sky and mountain. I very much like the dashes of sunlight in the mid-ground.

Lovely scene, dear Cherlyn. Excellent vertical composition with a delight of clouds, colors, light and atmosphere. Very good photograph! Congrats!

Very balanced: light and shadow both above and below; the green foliage with that turning yellow; the open space with fence--the road as a metaphor for life just at the bend, transporting us to the unknown.
