Guest Guest Posted August 5, 2008 Very cool shot and I like the composition a lot. It moves the eye upward to the top pic of Marilyn. The lighting is quite beautiful. Link to comment
sigmar_pietsch 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Carlos, great image, very emotional, makes you wonder what the woman thinks. Beauty of a shot. Well done. Regards - Sigmar Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 6, 2008 The juxtaposition of the older man looking at the icon of youth and sensual icon/myth, is very touching. His memory is probably taking him back to the passing years, while Marilyn will always stay young in the collective memory and photo.... Link to comment

John Peri 1,029 Posted March 27, 2009 I have known the guy for centuries, he sells stuff from a little tray on the port, amazing that you should have caught him like this ... a touching photo, indeed underlining as well the clash of generations. You have caught the fixation of his gaze even though we see him from behind, remarkable. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted August 20, 2009 Is interesting to see that the pin up photos that the man is looking at are of Marilyn and not of a Greek actress....somebody that he could easily meet in the street...this underline the Greek tendency to create myths and legends about the unattainable...the unreachable...The reflection in his spectacle lens that occupies a small part of the whole is also something that reinforces the title as a secondary support...well seen and captured. 3m 0 Posted June 16, 2010 Pnina put so perfectly into words, what this photo immediately conveyed to me as well -- A very powerful capture, with beautiful delicate lighting... This is really an excellent photo, Carlos! (and one of my favorites ;-) Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted April 5, 2015 A moment trapped in time for both the man and Marilyn. Excellent! Jim Phelps Link to comment
