This is an image that tells it all! So much for social networking anymore, what a sad state of affairs we've come to.

Hi Brad,

Another great one.

Skin tones, the foreground against background, the light. All making a wholeness of technical excellence.

The kind of motives appeal to me perhaps because they are close the my own preference in picturetaking.

And it is really nice to aknowledge the existence of some very good b&w photographers on the PN - you being one of the foremost.

You have my admiration.

All the best

Peter

Glad to see that you are still at it and have the touch and eye. I'm not much of a people person but I love these two shots of yours. And Congras. for being selected.

Thank you All for your kind visits and warm words of support!

Photography is becoming even more important to my life these days... since it is the only thing I feel worthwhile of myself.

I am not a people person, either, Dennis. And I am not a directing type of person, especially. But watching people on the street is a fun. When I photograph people I become simply an observer. A quiet observer. My subjects do not even know they are photographed by me most of the time.

Today's art world seems to give high value to staged photographs. Some say staged photographs usually carry clearer, louder voice of the artist. And they put meaningful value on artists' voices.

You've made the ordinary observations of daily life become poetry with all emotional expressions. Cellphone is such an inseparable part of our modern life now that one can tell a lot about the feelings of the phone user at the moment.

I've heard somewhere that women use internet for social and emotional satisfactions, and men use it more so for seeking information; however, that little cellphone seems to trigger all kind of emotions in everyone. What a paradox of modern life!

In any case, Brad, your mastery in capturing the intimate moments (whether it is landscape or people) and the technical aspect of photography to express your art at its most charming is quite admirable. I have never been tired of looking at your photographs; they reveal the soul of a poetic, romantic artist who is also highly skilled at his craft.

Best regards,

Tanya
