dabar 0 Posted August 4, 2008 This is the last in this mini-series. Done as a fully abstract version of the original photo. I see many photos here, that rate well, that are not truly abstracts but rather restricted views of the scene or an unusual angle or POV. That approach did not seem to work with this image so this represents the other end of the spectrum. Let me know what you think... Link to comment
longaray2 1 Posted August 4, 2008 I did not undestand your comments too well, but I think this abstract shot has excellent lines and colors, artistic and original Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted August 4, 2008 I was referring to a definition of ABSTRACT as applied to art. I.E.Having an intellectual and affective artistic content that depends solely on intrinsic form rather than on narrative content or pictorial representation: abstract painting and sculpture. The original photo in this set of three images was a straight shot, over-saturated, but NOT an abstract. I submitted it as an abstract anyway, just as many others have done, to see what sort of response I would get. This image is most definitely an abstract! Link to comment
