Pierre Dumas 265 Posted August 4, 2008 Owl on sunlight, must be in a ZOO! I also once took a picture of two owls in a cage half sun lit and made it as night in the post processing, it was a hell of a job! PDE Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Knowing now the history of that photo - I rate it 7/7 because its taken in the wild... Right place right moment, Jim. Congratulations and best regards, El Link to comment
williammccarey 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Great view of the eyes which is what owls are all about. Dappled sunshine is typical as these birds are always deep in in the trees. You handled it very well. Good habitat shot. You must have used a big lens as the beak is OOF and the eyes are sharp (I forgot to look at the details). I'll have to have Mssr Porte-Bonheur rate my photos as all of them are taken in the wild! 6/6 Link to comment

jtipton 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment and rate this picture. It was nice getting such a positive response. Although, I have to say, being this close to this beautiful and rarely seen bird was a thrill in it's self. Good health and happiness to all.-Jim Link to comment
