Verde River Canyon: Clarkdale AZ

We kept seeing places with that orange water on our trip through Utah, N Mexico and Arizona. Looks interesting, but I sure wouldn't want to drink it!

I'm guessing the color comes from runoff of the oxidized rocks. But I could be mistaken.

Any thoughts, impressions, critiques? Thanks.

Nice photograph! I really like the rich vibrant colors in this; and it is a great composition too. Looks like this part of Arizona has been getting some rain the ocotillo are nicely leafed out and flowering. Well seen and captured. Cheers! Chris

Thanks for the nice comment. You're right about the rain; the shot was taken a week or so ago during the rainy season in Arizona.
