I'm having a lot of fun with my new toy, the amazing filter B+W 110,

capable of reducing light by a factor of 1000x (10 stops).

These are the sources of the Savara, one of the many streams you can

find in the Gran Paradiso National Park, Western Alps, Italy.

I took this picture yesterday evening at sunset, and because of the

crazy contrast between ground and sky, I was also obliged to use an 8x

GND filter together with the B+W. Autofocusing was a nightmare, but I

finally succeded and I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

Your c&c are highly appreciated, I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance.

Details: Eos 400D, Tokina 12-24 f4, tripodmB+W 110, Lee GND 0.9 soft.

10x + 8x? Why don't you just leave the lens cap on?

Whatever, it works. The clouds move while the water looks still.

Your patience and bold trials paid off again. Like I said, I'm gonna have to get me one of those filters.
