Salt Lake's Dream

Here is the Qum Salt Lake which is located in North Eastern of Kashan or South Eastern of Tehran. This Salt lake still has water. If a person dig in the surface of lake for 10cm, she/he could see salty water. Usually you can see this salty water in Spring and Winter.

When I arrived at the lake, it was spectacular landscape. I saw miles and miles of white crystals crusty salt, in hexagonal patterns. It was stunning against the clear blue skies as well as sunset. For hours I sat there and meditate as well as took few shots of changing light in the sky against this amazing landscape.

If I was a Red Indian Shaman (healer), I could feel very strongly that this Salt Lake has a dream. A big dream of having rain once again so it's heart beats again after a long time. Then fresh itself for another season of life.

Very nice capture Kombiz! I can feel every minute of what you explained about this place.

32 years ago I was here with my master and dear friend Nikol Faridani and spend 4 days in this beautiful place and it was in winter time . the dept of water was around 10-15 cm and we could see a beautiful sunset and the reflection of the mountains around in the lake.
