"In the Name of Progress"

This is my second submission of "In the Name of Progress". The

orignal submission is in the same folder for comparison. I attempted to

clean up the noise in the sky in photoshop with color burns and

exclusions. Please let me know what you think of the new version.

It's better than the one with the posterized sky, but it's woefully dull and gloomy, with almost no contrast. Of course, if that's what you wanted to do, then it worked :)

 

It would still look like an abandoned derelict building with better lighting. Some contrast between the red of the brick and the gray of the sky would help.

 

I took some shots of areas like this in this folder. it still looks abandoned, but I thought getting the detail and subtle colors was important. By the way, a lot of these buildings have already been leveled.

Thanks for the critique. I hadn't thought of that perspective. I did intend for the dark look of the picture to bring across a certain mood of gloom. So, glad to know I achieved that :-)
