Monument Valley

After taking a record 45 minutes to pitch the tent in high winds, I looked up and made

this shot during a moment of relative calm. A minute later the winds picked up again, the rain started, and the tent blew down, suffering a broken pole. Well, the view looked

great while it lasted!

To say the least. But worth the effort. It looks like the calm just before the storm with that turbulent sky. Sorry to hear about the tent. That must have had an impact on your plans for the night. But I imagine it is kind of like being on Mars or a lunar landscape.
