I "detected" your thumbnail immediately. Outstanding image. Tones, light and detail, are really great. All the best.

It's very interesting choreography and I like the perspective from which you've chosen to show it to us. Love the way the light catches the old radio in the background. That and the lace tablecloth, which is so beautifully lit, set a lot of the mood of the piece. I love the expression on the foreground woman. It's a good moment to capture. The reflections have a wonderful vertical texture which gives the photo a multi-layered feel. It's not clear to me what's going on at the moment, in what way the two couples are involved with each other. I could write many stories in my head about the relationships so you have left it open-ended for me to fill in the blanks. The hand of the man in front and the opposing gesture of the hand of the woman behind relate beautifully as part of the staging of this. I can feel that you are very in touch with the creativity of the choreographer. Do you get to watch the pieces before you photograph them so that you can anticipate moments you want to capture or do you just get a feel for what you want in real time with no preparation?

Something very interesting. We've been talking about black and white and color a bit lately. I viewed this image and then left it to think about it before coming back to write. In my head I remembered it as black and white with a deep brown toning. So here we have a case of color suggesting some of the strength inherent in black and white photography. I think your keys here are contrast and lighting which especially allows the limbs, faces, and the music suggested by the radio to pop out at us.

It's very nicely done!

Ahmet, thanks for liking and writing,

Armindo my friend, thanks for recognizng my work on the thumbnail, great feedback and compliment.

Fred, I have left the ambiguity exactly for the reason you have expressed it, so each will have to composed his own story... It is a long dance and the two couples have relations between them.I have another one, with one couple that I have kept the ambiguity as well, and I hope you will write your reaction to it, will be interesting.

The choreographer told me that he will upload the two to his site( in construction right now), and I have photographed another two of his works that he likes as well.

There are groups that I participate in the general rehearsals, and I see each dance at least twice, but with my accumulating experience, I have found out that if I see it on the stage for the first time I photo with my gut feelings.... and than I see it again and between both times I find my own interpretation.

Thanks again, I want to see your previous works that I did not write my impressions, and I intend to do it with reading the threads after my writing.....

Each relationship has a dance. The participants learn the steps of the performance. Sometimes the dance becomes so entrenched that the dancers get bored and move on. Other times, the dancers continue to grow and learn new steps with each other. Some choose to dance alone.

As an observer of relationships, we can only conjecture what the dance means. We think we know, but we don't. I'm always surprised after a break-up to hear all the intricacies and weirdness that was occurring behind the scene that I never realized. A public show, choreographed by private issues.

I like the overall triangular formation on stage, which can be significant in the health and stability of couples. Also like the symmetry between the couples--each connected by a hand; each has a partner looking elsewhere; the positions in each couple form their own angle of an unfinished triangle. A lot to ponder here with gentle golden light and suggestion of music--sweet moments that become fond memories. A bit romantic, a bit wistful.

David, for your nice feedback.

Nezif, thanks as well.

Jeff, great analogy to " life as a dance" or vice versa....me being in the medical profession, but more so you in yours, what is behind the scene is a silent "dance".

Teresa, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm glad you have connected to it.

Donna "a bit romantic, a bit wistful."... and a bit

unclear and ambiguous, the music can be soft and graceful, and/or disharmonic and noisy.

Good interpretation of yours.

I'm glad of the ambiguity , so it is interesting to read the different feelings it evokes

"Life is a dance", is a very good concept,Pnina. There is harmony, grace and rhythm in dance. If we can introduce these elements in our lives, our lives will become beautiful. Balanced composition with very good lighting

the light and tone with the diagonal composition makes it for me...I like that the two men around the ladies have each a different attitude and expression... ha couples and story around them, and infinite source of inspiration (Jeff's comment's about life as a dance or theatre)...
