Still, the moon and visible tree tops are beautifully arranged, the color is spare and beautiful, and the choice to silhouette the trees is spot-on. Link to comment

Regarding the crop; I composed the image like this so that the large trunk on the left would give perspective and depth to the shot. With sihouettes it can be difficult to avoid the image from looking two-dimensional. By including the left tree trunk I have created more depth than if I had only used the two on the right. At least. that's my philosophy. Link to comment
