kombizz 15 Posted July 18, 2008 Few days ago, I was walking on a street. I saw that scene that a man was praying inside a lobby of a company. For few seconds my brain could not understand what was going on. My brain thought that the man was praying toward a a yellow block ! How strange! Then I tried to think more. Then I got it. He was praying there in that lobby. And yes there was that yellow block but not inside. It was a layer of a reflection of yellow electrical box outside on the pavement. The light was inside. The cars were outside. And I was standing among those layers of realites trying to capture that scene with my compact digital camera ! And the green wall was in the middle of layers (of) . . . . ! * Sorry for the bad quality of the image because of dirty glass of the lobby. . Link to comment

bartimeus1 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Good day to you, Mr. Kashani! I found your photo of "the evolution of modern man" from the critique forum and it led me to view your portfolio and also visit in your Usefilm-pages. From your P.N. portfolio I found this one to be a particularly interesting capture. These layers really reflect the collision of the modern world and the religion/beliefs inside of us. In a way this also reflects the vision of Islamic-countries in the eyes of the western world people. People show openly their faith and it happens in the middle of the every day life. That may be a troubling vision for many westerners, as our culture seems to distance itself from the open showing of one`s own faith. I work in a Christian congregation, amongst teenagers, but I can still see this image of yours as a very interesting and deeply human photo. If only we people could meet openly, without pre-judgement. Openly discuss about the faith and the way we see the world around us. I enjoyed your writing about exploring the world, viewing the little details around you and photographing them. Actually I found a whole lot of that also from my own way of viewing the world. So, my warmest greetings from Finland, Alpo S. Link to comment
