This photo is awe-inspiring; I can distinctly see the spots on his face. The mood of the boy is perfectly captured. Thanks for sharing.

What makes this photo is clearly the eyes of the child an the position of his hands - he holds something precious. But what makes the photo special is the slightly blurred background - a rough brick wall that clearly has seen better days.

The only critical remark I would make is that I see it as a pity that you have cut the frame from the knees and down. In my eyes, the composition would have been more "stable" if the main subject was shown fully and the centre was moved slightly to the right.

My dear Kaushik, first of all sorry for not showing up on your portfolio ... that was NOT nice of me...., but I am (like you I just did see) not so active at the moment, and both we have a 'child'-picture....so there is some kind of connection ;D and this is just GREAT, this standing little boy, looking completely lost, in front of a cold wall, having something in his hand, I could imagine when he was on a beach, he would have a shell in his hand, now he looks so lost

with love Els (sure not someone else)

I must agree with the positive comments above. One question, though. What is the purpose of the waist band & string? Certainly not a modesty panel! :-) Great capture. Best, LM.

Abit sad ,but a good timing, light and composition, Kaushik. the dark BG enhances the child and scene.
