bartimeus1 0 Posted July 14, 2008 Thank you for your time and opinion. (No animals were harmed during the photo shooting. This poor chap had drowned into a poorly maintained water pit of a mini golf park.) Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted July 14, 2008 I know that this image is unsettling, possibly repulsive and also sad, especially when posted into Fine Art-gallery. Yet, I wanted to put this into here, to raise our hearts and minds to see our world and our own lives with another kind of eyes. Our society`s, and in many ways our lives are being drowned into a combination of "media hurricane" and "commercial pit of consuming-waste". This is not to say that I would be in a different position or attitude than any other average guy, not in any way. I consume, so I live and exist. But, what about the possibility that I could exist without over consuming and wasting my time and life...? Shivering thought, as I am a product of the modern western culture. Yet, I just wonder.... I wonder.... Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 15, 2008 I'm glad you posted this, and I think your explanation provides a much-needed context. The mouse, open-mouthed and ghostly, is a repulsive yet beautiful image. And I agree that we are often pulled in and drown in our own grandiosity. Link to comment
